Typical Pitch Pan (A.K.A. Pitch Pocket, A.K.A. Penetration Pocket)


Please note that the above image shows a pitch pan, aka pitch pocket, aka penetration pocket, on a wood fence type structure. You typically want to avoid using pitch pockets on wood because as the wood deteriorates, there is a chance for leaks.
